【摘要】:Thistestmethodissuitableforuseasarapidcontroltestforpulpmanufactureorforcarefuldeterminationoftheviscometricmolecularweightofpurifiedcottonorwoodderivedpulps.Thistestmethodisapplicableoveraverylargerangeofcellulosemolecularweightsbecausesevensamplesizesaredefined.(Sampleweightsarereducedascellulosemolecularweightincreases.)Cottonandhighmolecularweightpulpsmaybedifficulttodissolve.(Warningx2014;Thistestmethodisonlyvalidifthesampledissolvescompletelywithoutgels.)1.1Thistestmethoddescribestheprocedureforestimatingthemolecularweightofcellulosebydeterminingtheviscosityofcuprammonium(CuAm)solutionsofcellulosicmaterials,suchaswoodpulp,cotton,andcottonlinters.Thistestmethodissuitableforrapid,routinetestingoflargenumbersofsampleswithhighaccuracyandprecision.ThistestmethodupdatesandextendstheprocedurereportedbytheAmericanChemicalSociety(ACS).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
