【摘要】:Thedistillation(volatility)characteristicsofhydrocarbonshaveanimportanteffectontheirsafetyandperformance,especiallyinthecaseoffuelsandsolvents.Theboilingrangegivesinformationonthecomposition,theproperties,andthebehaviorofthefuelduringstorageanduse.Volatilityisthemajordeterminantofthetendencyofahydrocarbonmixturetoproducepotentiallyexplosivevapors.Thedistillationcharacteristicsareequallyimportantforbothautomotiveandaviationgasolines,affectingstarting,warm-up,andtendencytovaporlockathighoperatingtemperaturesorhighaltitude,orboth.Thepresenceofhighboilingpointcomponentsintheseandotherfuelscansignificantlyaffectthedegreeofformationofsolidcombustiondeposits.Volatility,asitaffectstherateofevaporation,isanimportantfactorintheapplicationofmanysolvents,particularlythoseusedinpaints.Distillationlimitsareoftenincludedinpetroleumproductspecifications,incommercialcontractagreements,processrefinery/controlapplications,andforcompliancetoregulatoryrules.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedureforthedeterminationofthedistillationcharacteristicsofpetroleumproductsintherangeof20to400x00B0;C(68to752x00B0;F)usingminiaturizedautomaticdistillationapparatus.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletosuchproductsas:lightandmiddledistillates,automotivespark-ignitionenginefuels,automotivespark-ignitionenginefuelscontainingupto10%ethanol,aviationgasolines,aviationturbinefuels,regularandlowsulfurdieselfuels,biodieselblendsupto20%biodiesel,specialpetroleumspirits,naphthas,whitespirits,kerosines,burnerfuels,andmarinefuels.1.3Thistestmethodisdesignedfortheanalysisofdistillateproducts;itisnotapplicabletoproductscontainingappreciablequantitiesofresidualmaterial.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
