【摘要】:ThispartofISO14688,togetherwithISO14688-2,establishesthebasicprinciplesfortheidentificationandclassificationofsoilsonthebasisofthosematerialandmasscharacteristicsmostcommonlyusedforsoilsforengineeringpurposes.Therelevantcharacteristicsmayvaryandtherefore,forparticularprojectsormaterials,moredetailedsubdivisionsofthedescriptiveandclassificationtermsmaybeappropriate.Thegeneralidentificationanddescriptionofsoilsisbasedonaflexiblesystemforimmediate(field)usebyexperiencedpersons,coveringbothmaterialandmasscharacteristicsbyvisualandmanualtechniques.Detailsaregivenoftheindividualcharacteristicsforidentifyingsoilsandthedescriptivetermsinregularuse,includingthoserelatedtotheresultsoftestsfromthefield.ThispartofISO14688isapplicabletonaturalsoilsinsitu,similarman-madematerialsinsituandsoilsredepositedbyman.TheidentificationanddescriptionofrocksiscoveredbyISO14689.Theidentificationandclassificationofsoilforpedologicalpurposes,aswellasintheframeworkofmeasurementsforsoilprotectionandforremediationofcontaminatedareas,iscoveredbyISO11259.
